Nikita Borten is a native Houstonian and attended several universities in the area.
She is degreed many times over in the field of education, the highest level being a masters. She currently works as an Educational Diagnostician, evaluating children with learning disabilities and working with fellow educators to formulate appropriate educational programming.
Her other professional experience includes but is not limited to working for nonprofits focused on domestic violence, several years as an investigator for Children Protective Services, and 15+ years in education.
She is the owner/operator of The Borten Institute for Learning Disabilities, an educational consulting firm that offers advocacy for parents with children who have learning differences or disabilities; and provides academic tutorial services for children who learn differently.

Kim is passionate about helping women live a life of excellence! Women Cultivating Greatness (WCG) was created to aid women who learn differently through life skills classes, fundraising and powerful networking events. In 2020, our organization started a new program to help women with learning challenges. Kim is dyslexic and ADD. She struggled through school her entire life and did not discover she was dyslexic until she was 30 years old. Learning Challenges affects every area of your life. She is dedicated to helping women succeed by leveling the playing field so they can truly live to their God-given potential.
Giving back to the community has been important to her as is shown through her volunteer work with the United Methodist Women, Girl Scouts of San Jacinto, the Christian Entrepreneurial Organization and the National Women of Achievement organization. Kim is a graduate of the University of Houston with a B.S. degree in Psychology/Sociology.

Dr. Jane Ujoatu earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Foods and Nutrition from the University of Houston-Main Campus, in Houston, Texas. She earned a Master of Science degree in Nutrition Science from Texas Woman’s University- Houston center, Houston, and a Doctor of Public Health degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Fort Worth, Texas. She also holds a Certificate of Training in Weight Management from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Dr. Jane has over 9 years of experience in providing nutrition services to individuals and groups in various settings. She has over 5 years of experience in community-based program development, implementation, and evaluation, and community-based research. She also has over 4 years of providing nutrition counseling to diverse groups and individuals both in corporate and community-based settings. Most recently, Dr. Jane is involved in providing nutrition counselling and care to End Stage Renal Disease patients as well as serving as a nutrition instructor for undergraduate students.
Dr. Jane has a passion for improving population health through healthy nutrition by addressing health disparities especially in low-income communities in order to make our societies better. She is also committed to community engagement, volunteering, mentorship for dietetics students and young professionals, as well as in leadership development.
